How many treatments will I need?

Depending on the skin concern and the severity of it, anywhere between 4- 8 treatments will be needed. An accurate diagnosis and treatment plan will be established during the initial consultation.

How long should it take before I see results?

Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more significant results will become visible after 4 to 6 treatments (spaced 4-6 weeks apart). The condition of your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments, especially when combined with the recommended post-treatment care.

What areas can be treated?

Area that can be treated include face, neck, decolletage, hands, tummy and stretch marks.

How should I prepare my skin for a Dermapen treatment?

For optimal results, an appropriate regime of skin care will be determined by your clinician, to encourage the skin to strengthen (especially for thin or delicate skin ares). Continue to use your prescribed skin care recommended by your clinician after the treatments for a period of 6 weeks.

Is the treatment painful?

For minimal needle depths, Dermapen treatments are relatively painless. Treatments using depths over 0.5mm may require a topical anaesthetic cream to be applied for 15-40 minutes before the procedure. This will rendure the treatments virtually pain free.

Is there any downtime after treatments?

Generally no, but you may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. Application of a breathable camouflage will seal the skin and cover any redness for an immediate return to work.
